The world of fashion design is not just a play of materials, colors and shapes; it is more of a labyrinth of emotions, where an infinite combination of creative feelings and tensions shapes the final creation . While creating this new collection, and leaving behind the safe but somewhat boring world of basic garments - I was heading towards a new, feminine and casual style .
My main inspiration was the woman we all secretly want to be and who I hope we all become a little bit by wearing my clothes. The woman who is the unquestionable protagonist of her life . The one who doesn't care what others think because she doesn't live her life through other people's eyes. The one who is confident and dominates the space with her energy in a way that isn't ostentatious, just natural.
As I start designing, I can almost see this woman's feelings, thoughts - the great moments of her life. I am overcome by a kind of excitement and fear: believing in our own vision, trusting our intuition is a serious task. Choosing the ideal material is the first step, which is often one of the most difficult tasks. I look for colors that emphasize femininity and elegance. The colors and materials come together in the creation of the first samples, where I balance on the borderline between fantasy and reality: imagination and feasibility often have difficulty meeting - if they succeed at all. Several rounds of refinement and sleepless nights are usually the price of creating the perfect first sample. But from here on, the idea that was only known on paper becomes tangible - everything starts to become much more real.
As soon as the first perfect sample is ready and I see it hanging on the hanger and then on my models, I feel like yes, this is the path I want to take. Creating each piece of the new collection brings new feelings: self-confidence, creative desire, and sometimes anxiety. Each piece tells a story – about femininity, our desires and possibilities.
The photo shoot is the first time the image is truly put together in real life, the way the materials fall, the overall look of the clothes and the feedback from my models all give me great motivation and faith. This is exactly why it is always a special experience, because in addition to the returning, old-school VB girls, we always meet new faces, who are usually in front of the photographer's camera for the first time in their lives. It is a great experience to see how confidently the previously timid girls, who are now participating in the photo shoot for the second or third time, look into the camera. The quiet excitement of the new girls often rubs off on me, and in such cases I try to help them with pose ideas and encourage them, while also trying to control myself so that I don't lose focus, as it is very important to me that my collection conveys my ideas.
Finally, when the images are finished and the collection is published on the website, all the sleepless nights, all the doubts and all the joy are worth it. Because I know that my dreams are shaped, dressed in colors, ready to be discovered by others.
